‘Living as the Absolute & as Human’ 5 Day Intensive Retreat
in Snowdonia National Park, Wales
Saturday 9th June – Wednesday 13th June 2018
Waking up to the truth means not only recognising your Absolute True Nature, but also discovering the mysterious unfolding of how this is lived in your human life.
It doesn’t fit into any ideas and is an endless falling apart of whatever you thought you had or knew. Trying to hold it all together, to control life and make it fit into your ideas, especially spiritual ideas, is so much effort, and doesn’t work. Endlessly trying to fit your very human self into beautiful spiritual dreams of perfection, only makes you feel like there is something wrong with you. But by courageously taking the risk to stand by your imperfect human nature, you acknowledge the perfection that you are already. The bubbles of spiritual hopes and dreams must burst, and disillusionment is often experienced. You come down from floaty heavenly clouds, to the ground, and face the raw reality of Life as it actually is. You realise the arrogance of thinking you know how it all is, or should be. Life takes you on the humbling journey of bowing down again and again to the mystery. This human is the mystery, just as the whole of Life is that mystery. This human can never, and does not need to ever, fit into any ideas of perfection. It is such a relief to let it all fall apart, and be whatever you are now. Then all that is left is gratitude and awe for this ever-revealing mystery of Life.
These 5 days together in a small like-minded group offer a rich opportunity to:
– dive deeper into the recognition of your true nature
– explore the living of your true nature in your daily life
– question, share and discover how this life can be lived in truth and openness
– explore what is real beyond all our hopes, fears and dreams.
Unmani’s message is not a complicated prescription of what you need to do or not do, but a simple description of how it is, and who you are, already. It is not about one day becoming perfect, but about waking up to the simple truth that you are already everything that you have been longing to become.
For more details about the format of this intensive please read the information on the Intensive Retreats page.
Please note that before you book your place at an Intensive, Unmani asks that all participants come to at least one open meeting. If this is physically impossible, please make sure that you have watched several of Unmani’s free video clips available on Youtube.
The Intensive will start at 9.30am on the Saturday 9th June and finish around 1.00pm on Wednesday the 13th June. Unmani asks that you commit to the whole 5 days inclusive of all the sessions. It is not possible to come for only part of it, as this disturbs the group energy. Please arrive a few minutes early to settle so that we can start on time.
Accommodation on the retreat premises is available from Friday 8th June until 13th June, but there are limited places. This is a high season period so please arrange your accommodation as soon as possible.
The intensive will happen in Betws-y-coed, in the heart of beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Just 15 minutes from Mount Snowdon. The area is very popular amongst walkers and climbers and there are lots of lovely mountain and lake walks in the area.
In the village/town there is a Spar and a Londis for basics and a nice cafe.
